Pride. Purpose. Progress. A message from the Gaffer.

To all our supporters,

It feels like the right time to update you on everything that has been happening around the football club over the past month.

We’ve already welcomed some fresh faces through the door, and that work will continue as we build a squad capable of improving on last season. I am delighted with the players we’ve brought into the football club so far. They are individuals we believe will add quality, character and the right mentality to what we’re trying to create here. We also have a few more deals agreed, and we’ll be releasing details of those throughout the week.

It was fantastic to see such a healthy turnout at our recent Fans’ Forum event. I would like to personally thank everyone who attended and showed patience, understanding and respect while Michael, Bal and I answered your questions. It is important that you have a voice and the opportunity to express your thoughts and concerns. Equally, it is important to recognise the tremendous amount of hard work taking place behind the scenes.

The owners continue to invest in making our stadium the very best experience possible for our supporters, and those improvements will continue. There are a lot of people working tirelessly every single day to move this football club forward, often away from the spotlight, and they deserve enormous credit for their efforts.

On the pitch, we are building a squad that we want you to be proud of. A team that will play with pace, energy and intensity, combined with the perfect blend of experience and genuine quality. We are continuing to work hard to bring more players into the football club – players who fit the way we want to do things and who understand exactly what it means to represent King’s Lynn Town.

One thing I know for certain is that we need your continued support and backing.

All I ask for is patience and that judgement is reserved until we’ve had the opportunity to bring this group together and get to work on the training pitch. Give us that, and I can promise you this: you will have a dedicated, committed group of men who will give absolutely everything they have for this football club and its supporters.

I also think it’s important to recognise the people whose hard work often goes unnoticed. The football may have paused for the time being, but the work certainly hasn’t. Our full-time staff are a credit to King’s Lynn Town Football Club. They are working around the clock to ensure everything is in place for the new season, and I thank them sincerely for their continued effort, professionalism and support.

It was also great to spend time with our volunteers as we all got to work painting the fence behind the goal. To see people willingly giving up their own time to help the football club demonstrates that there is a special group of individuals who care deeply about King’s Lynn Town. Football clubs are built on people, and we are fortunate to have so many who continually step forward to help.

Our players will return to training soon for testing as we begin preparations for what will be a demanding pre-season programme. One of my aims over the next six weeks is to reconnect our football club with our community. You’ll be seeing plenty of us throughout pre-season at various parks, beaches and destinations across the town and surrounding areas. We want to be visible, accessible and proud representatives of this football club and the community it serves.

Finally, and most importantly, I want to acknowledge a truly wonderful gesture from Tony, Karen, the WWSA and everyone involved in making the 8:56 Partnership happen.

This is a poignant moment for King’s Lynn Town Football Club and one that demonstrates the power football has to bring people together for causes that really matter. The support being shown to The 8:56 Foundation and the vital work they do is something everyone connected with this football club can be immensely proud of.

I am sure Lee would be incredibly proud to see his beloved football club, alongside his friends and family, continuing to make such a positive difference within the community. His legacy lives on through conversations like these and through the awareness this partnership will help create.

Well done to Tony, Karen, the WWSA, The 8:56 Foundation and everyone involved in bringing this together.

If there is one thing to take away from this partnership, it is the message at the heart of it all: it’s time to talk.

Never be afraid to reach out, start a conversation or ask for help. Those conversations can change lives.

As we move towards a new season, let’s move forward together. There will be challenges, setbacks and moments that test us, but there will also be opportunities to show exactly what this football club is all about.

This club means something to people. It belongs to its supporters, its volunteers, its staff, its players and everyone who gives their time, energy and unwavering commitment to its future.

Let’s approach the season ahead with belief, pride and a determination to make those who care so deeply about King’s Lynn Town Football Club proud to call it their own.

Thank you once again for your continued support. It never goes unnoticed, and it never goes unappreciated.

Take care, and I’ll see you all soon.
