The Linnets are winless in four since our 5-2 victory away at already-relegated Leamington, losing to Spennymoor Town (0-1, H), Bedford Town (0-1, H) and Kidderminster Harriers (1-4, A) and nabbing a last-minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw away at a relegated Peterborough Sports. If results go against us, Lynn are still in danger of falling into the drop zone.
The Magpies are facing similar difficulties, although they are safe in the division. They've lost to Curzon Ashton (0-1, H), Marine (1-2, A) and Alfreton Town (0-1, A) in their last five, drawing 0-0 away at Scarborough Athletic and picking up a huge 2-0 win at home to current runners-up AFC Fylde, who sit behind league leaders South Shields by only two goals.
The reverse fixture ended in a thumping 4-0 victory to Chorley after a 2nd-minute Emmanuel Maja red card put the Linnets on the back foot, and a second red card to goalkeeper Louis Chadwick shortly after the interval left Lynn in tatters.
